Banks Group has been revealed as the company behind a legal challenge against the government’s Contracts for Difference mechanism which stands to delay its forthcoming auction.
Distribution network operators and the decisions they made to disconnect end users will be investigated as part of an inquiry into last week’s blackout, the government has confirmed.
Last week’s UK black out was unlikely to have been the result of either high renewable generation or a cyber attack, National Grid chief exec John Pettigrew has said.
